In 2023, doctors gave me a 50/50 chance to survive head and neck cancer.

They wanted to take half my tongue, dissect my neck, remove some teeth, and put me through radiation and chemotherapy. I built my own treatment plan instead. Three years later I am fit, healthy, and cancer-free.

That is not a story about beating cancer. It is a story about a philosophy three generations of my family have practiced for seventy years. A philosophy that says look at the whole person, reject the ceilings others put on you, and build the targeted plan that fits the individual in front of you. That philosophy has changed thousands of lives in the clinic. It changed mine.

This is why I built Doman Growth. To bring that philosophy out of the clinic and into the everyday lives of people who want to be smarter, healthier, wealthier, and more successful.

This is the story of how I got here.

Growing Up Doman

I grew up watching my father change lives.

Not abstractly. Literally. I sat in the room while he evaluated children that the medical world had written off. Kids with autism who weren't speaking. Kids with Down syndrome whose schools had already decided how far they'd go. Kids with brain injuries so severe that neurologists told their parents to start planning for institutional care. And then I watched those same kids come back six months later, a year later, five years later, doing things nobody said they could do.

I am the third generation of a family that has spent seventy years proving human potential has no ceiling. My grandfather, Dr. Robert J. Doman Sr., pioneered physical medicine and rehabilitation. My father, Bob Doman, founded the National Association for Child Development (NACD) in 1979. My brother Alex founded Advanced Brain Technologies. I was on NACD programs from infancy and grew up traveling with my dad as he conducted evaluations across the country. I didn't just learn the philosophy that every person is unique and every person has unlimited potential. I lived it.

The most powerful thing I ever saw NACD do happened in my own family. My half-brother Mike was born with a severe brain injury, and the medical world had given up on him from the start. With NACD's individualized program, Mike learned to walk. He learned to talk. He told jokes. He lived a full and joyful life. He passed away in 2013 at thirty-two from an infection unrelated to his neurology. He is part of why I do this work.

What I learned from all of it is simple: the right approach, applied to the right individual, can unlock potential the experts said did not exist.

The Serial Entrepreneur

I have been building things my entire life.

I am wired that way. Always have been. While I was growing up inside NACD and eventually becoming Chief Operations Officer in 2013, I was also starting businesses, investing, and figuring out how the world of commerce and value creation works. Service businesses. Storage businesses. Tech startups. I got into cryptocurrency mining back in 2013 when almost nobody knew what Bitcoin was, and I worked on some of the first altcoin mining systems.

I have started companies, bought companies, sold companies. Some worked. Some didn't. Every single one taught me something.

The drive was never about getting rich. Wealth has never been the primary motivator in my family. We have always been driven by cause work. NACD is what gets us up in the morning. But I learned early that if you want the freedom to dedicate your life to the work that matters most, you need to build financial independence on the side. You need outside wealth building so you can focus your energy where it really counts.

That realization shaped how I think about wealth entirely. Wealth is not a number in a bank account. Wealth is freedom. The ability to work on what you want, when you want. If you don't have that freedom, you don't have wealth. You don't have success. You have a cage with nice furniture.

I have always believed that wealth, like health, is something people should talk about openly. There is a culture of secrecy around money, even within families, that keeps people stuck. Someone figures out a strategy that works beautifully and keeps it to themselves because talking about money feels uncomfortable. Meanwhile their brother or their friend or their neighbor is struggling with the exact same problem and has no idea there is a solution sitting right next to them.

The same thing is true for health. And that brings me to the part of my story that changed everything.

The Wake Up Call

I had no business getting head and neck cancer. None of the risk factors. I was not a smoker. I was not a heavy drinker. I did not have HPV. I was not in any of the demographic groups where this kind of cancer typically shows up. By every conventional measure, I should not have been the person sitting in that oncologist's office.

But there I was.

The initial treatment plan was aggressive to say the least. Remove half my tongue. Full neck dissection. Pull some teeth to prepare for radiation. Then chemotherapy on top of all of it. The survival odds were 50/50.

I sat with that for a minute. Then I refused to accept it.

I went out and got a lot of other opinions. I talked to a lot of doctors. I did my own research. And I settled on a significantly more conservative surgical approach combined with non-traditional treatments that most oncologists would never recommend. Off-label medications. Targeted supplements. Extended water fasting. I started wearing a continuous glucose monitor and got serious about understanding insulin resistance and metabolic health. I explored peptides, infrared sauna, cold plunge, red light therapy, and a dozen other interventions that the mainstream medical world either ignores or dismisses.

I am not saying any of this to give medical advice. I am saying it because it saved my life and it transformed my health completely.

Before the diagnosis I was overweight. I had dealt with hormone issues my entire life. I could not get my weight under control no matter what I tried. I was, to put it bluntly, fat and sick. And along with the physical problems came the mental ones. I was depressed. Deeply. I had been for a long time.

The cancer forced me to take control of every aspect of my health at once. Not just the tumor. Everything. My weight. My metabolic function. My mental health. My nutrition. My sleep. My stress response. I treated myself the way my dad treats an NACD client. I looked at the whole picture. I identified what was actually going on. I built a targeted plan. And I worked that plan every single day.

I went from fat and sick to fit and healthy. I found treatments for my depression that actually work and I am in a better place mentally than I have ever been in my life. The transformation was not just physical. It was everything.

The AI Moment

When I was diagnosed, I turned to artificial intelligence.

This was 2023. ChatGPT had been out for less than a year. Most people were just starting to play with it, treating it like a smarter search engine. I started using it differently from day one. What happened changed how I see the world.

I had AI analyzing my scans and my lab results before my doctor's appointments. Every step of the way, I walked into those appointments knowing more about my own results than the doctors expected me to know. AI helped me understand my pathology reports. It helped me research treatment options. It helped me find the off-label medications and the clinical studies that informed my decisions. It helped me craft my treatment plan, my nutrition plan, my weight loss plan.

For the first time in my life, I had a tool that could take billions of data points and make sense of them in a way that no single human brain ever could. Not even the best doctor. Not even my dad, who has spent fifty years learning to see the whole picture with individual clients.

AI does what the Domans have always done. It connects the dots. It looks at the whole picture. It finds the patterns that matter. It creates individualized approaches. But it does it at a scale and speed that was never humanly possible.

Most people miss this. They talk to it like a search engine. They ask one quick question and expect a great answer. Then they get a generic, surface-level response and conclude AI is overrated. The problem is not the AI. The problem is they did not give it what it needed to actually help them.

AI requires massive amounts of context to give you a real answer. The more context you feed it, the better it performs. The less context you give it, the more generic and useless its output becomes. This is not a bug. It is the entire principle of how it works.

Think about it this way. Imagine a person with a complex health problem. They go to a cardiologist who looks only at their heart. The cardiologist prescribes a medication that fixes the heart issue but causes kidney problems. So they go to a nephrologist, who treats the kidneys, but the medication for that wrecks their gut. So they go to a gastroenterologist. And on and on it goes. Five specialists. Five fixes. Five new problems. Because nobody looked at the whole person. Each specialist was working with a fraction of the information they needed to actually solve the problem.

That is exactly how most people use AI. They ask one narrow question with no context, and they get an answer that solves a fraction of the problem and creates new ones. They get the AI equivalent of five specialists each treating a different organ.

Why fragmented expertise creates new problems. And why AI, when given the whole picture, can solve what specialists cannot.

For seventy years, the Doman family has approached human development this way: see the whole person, find the patterns, build the plan. Now AI does it at scale.

Doman Growth · The platform for forward-thinking individuals
Diagram contrasting the fragmented specialist model with the holistic AI model. On the left, a person surrounded by five disconnected medical specialists, each treating one organ in isolation, creating a cascade of unintended consequences. On the right, the same person at the center of a connected system where AI, given the full context of their goals, history, lab results, lifestyle, and constraints, produces one integrated plan that addresses the root cause.

Now imagine if every one of those specialists was sitting in the same room, with full access to the patient's complete history, current condition, lab results, lifestyle, medications, family history, and goals. Imagine they could see everything, talk to each other, and design a treatment plan that addressed the root cause without breaking anything else. That is what AI can actually do, but only when you feed it the whole picture.

This is exactly the way my dad has approached neurodevelopment for fifty years. You cannot help a child with autism by just looking at their language. You have to look at sensory processing, motor development, nutrition, sleep, behavior, family dynamics, and cognition all at once. Everything is connected. The Doman approach has always been holistic because that is the only approach that actually works on complex human beings.

AI thrives on the same principle. When you give it everything, it can find answers you never thought possible. Connections nobody on your medical team would ever see. Patterns hidden in years of data. Solutions that integrate across every dimension of your life. But you have to give it everything.

My family has spent seventy years proving that individualized, holistic assessment of the whole person produces extraordinary outcomes. My dad does it by hand with every individual he evaluates, drawing from over 3,000 different interventions to build a targeted program. It works. It has changed thousands of lives. But it is limited by the number of hours in a day and the number of people one organization can serve.

AI removes that limitation.

After the cancer I started using AI for everything. My health plan. My wealth strategy. My business operations. My creative projects. I built an AI chief of staff I named Tony to help me manage the fifty different projects I am building simultaneously. From apps to software to companies to Doman Growth to work at NACD. Tony helps me keep track of it all, prioritize, execute, and move faster than I ever could alone.

AI is the closest thing to a magic wand that has ever existed. It brings out my creativity like nothing else. I can build things now that would have taken a team of ten people and six months. I can do it in days.

And I realized that most people have no idea what is happening. AI is growing at a rate that is hard to comprehend. If you are not learning it now, you are going to be left behind. Not in five years. Now. The gap between people who understand AI, and know how to feed it the context it needs to perform, and people who do not is already massive, and it is getting wider every single day.

I want to help people stay on the right side of that gap. Not as a hobby. Not as charity. As the core of what I am building.

Why Doman Growth Exists

Everything I just described, the NACD philosophy, the health transformation, the wealth mindset, the AI awakening, kept circling back to the same truth.

The principles that have changed thousands of lives at NACD, both children and adults, can change anyone's life. Look at the whole person. Don't accept ceilings. Build a targeted plan. Use every tool available. And do it with a community and a platform that actually supports you instead of labeling you and telling you what is impossible.

That is why I created Doman Growth.

Doman Growth is a platform for forward-thinking individuals who want to be smarter, healthier, wealthier, and more successful. It is not a course. It is not a guru's empire. It is where three generations of Doman knowledge about human potential meet the most powerful tool ever created.

That tool is AI. And Doman AI is the platform's primary focus today.

What started as my personal toolkit during cancer became the engine of every project I touch. I now help businesses, founders, and entrepreneurs apply AI to everything they do.

AI strategy. Where AI fits in your business. What to automate first. What to leave alone. Where the highest-leverage opportunities are hiding. Most companies are either ignoring AI entirely or overinvesting in the wrong places. I help them build a clear, prioritized roadmap based on what actually moves the needle for the specific business in front of me.

AI visibility. How AI models see your brand right now. Whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity recommend you when potential customers ask AI for help. AI search is replacing Google search faster than most people realize, and most companies have no idea what AI knows about them or what it does not. The AI Visibility Report I built is designed to give you that picture in minutes.

AI implementation. Building the actual systems. Custom workflows. AI chiefs of staff like Tony. Automated pipelines for sales, marketing, operations, customer service, content, and reporting. Most agencies will sell you a one-size-fits-all bot. I build systems matched to the specific business in front of me, the same way my dad builds NACD programs matched to the specific child in front of him.

Free tools and education. The AI Grader. The AI Quiz. Articles, guides, and resources for anyone starting out. Because the gap between people who understand AI and people who do not is widening every day, and free tools are how I help everyone get on the right side of it.

The principle behind all of it is the same principle that runs through every Doman approach. Look at the whole business. Identify the specific places where targeted intervention produces the biggest gain. Build the individualized plan. Empower the team to execute it. Reject the ceiling that says “this is just how it works.”

That is Doman AI.

Doman Health and Doman Wealth are the two domains where the Doman approach extends most naturally beyond AI.

Doman Health exists because the future of medicine is not more prescriptions and more closed-minded advice from doctors who spend seven minutes with you and send you home with a pill. The future of medicine is understanding your unique genome. It is food as medicine. It is getting away from processed food and endless prescriptions. It is understanding insulin resistance, metabolic health, peptides, and the connection between physical health and mental health. It is looking at the whole person, not just the symptom. I went through the worst health crisis of my life and came out the other side healthier and happier than I have ever been, and I want to help other people do the same thing. People who are sick. People who are overweight and have tried every diet. People who are depressed and feel like nothing works. There is a path forward and it starts with rejecting the old way of doing things.

Doman Wealth exists because everything compounds. Wealth is more than money. It is your life, your happiness, your freedom. If you do not have freedom you do not have success, no matter how big your bank account is. I want to build a platform where AI and wealth building come together. Where people can learn from real experience, not textbook theory. Where the conversation about money is open and honest because secrecy around wealth is one of the biggest things holding people back.

Education has always been part of what the Doman family does. NACD has spent nearly fifty years not just serving families but teaching the world. My father has published hundreds of articles, given keynote speeches across continents, recorded audio and video courses, and made decades of his research available for free to anyone who wants to learn. He has lectured to over 100,000 parents and professionals. He has written for journals and magazines and newsletters. The whole family operates that way. Knowledge that helps people is knowledge worth sharing widely.

I am building Doman Growth on that same foundation. The platform offers paid services because real consulting work and individual implementation require time and energy. But the articles, the guides, the tools, and the educational content across health, wealth, and AI are free and will stay free. If you want to learn how AI actually works, what foods heal and what foods harm, how to lose weight when nothing else has worked, how to think about wealth as freedom rather than just money, you can come to Doman Growth and read for hours without paying for anything. That is the Doman tradition. That is what we have always done. That is what I am continuing.

These three things, AI, health, and wealth, are not separate categories in my mind. They are all connected. They are all part of one life. That is how the Domans have always looked at things. Everything connects to everything. That is the Doman way.

Doman Growth is the Doman way applied to your entire life.

What I Believe

I believe that most of the ceilings in our lives are put there by other people. By the medical community that gives you a diagnosis and lets that define you. By the education system that labels your child and tracks them into a box. By academia that decides what is possible based on what a study said instead of what is standing right in front of them.

I have proved those ceilings wrong in my own life. I was told I had a 50/50 chance to survive. I was told I needed to lose half my tongue. I was told I needed radiation and chemo. I chose a different path. I am here. I am healthier than I have ever been.

I believe AI is the most powerful tool ever created for the people who learn to use it correctly. The gap between people who feed AI the full context it needs and people who treat it like a search engine is already enormous, and it is widening every day. I am building Doman Growth to put the people I work with on the right side of that gap.

I believe health is going to look completely different in ten years. The future of medicine is not more prescriptions and more seven-minute appointments. It is whole-person thinking, metabolic health, food as medicine, and AI helping each of us understand our own biology in ways no doctor will have time to. Doman Health is built for that future.

I believe wealth is going to be defined less by what is in your bank account and more by what you can do with your time. The freedom to build, to create, to take risks, to work on what you want when you want. Doman Wealth is built for that.

We need to stop listening to institutions that put limits on us. We need to stop treating diagnoses as definitions. We need to start talking openly about the things that actually work, in health and in wealth and in business, even when they make people uncomfortable.

That is what Doman Growth is. That is what I am building. And I am just getting started.
